Victoria Sutton | Designer & Teaching Assistant
Revolutionising STEM education through creativity and mentorship
Vicky aims to transform the way students engage with STEM subjects by blending innovative design, cutting-edge technology, and a passion for mentorship. As someone who once struggled with maths and science herself, she knows just how challenging these subjects can feel; which is why she’s dedicated to creating the resources and support she wishes she’d had back then.
After graduating with a first-class degree in Drama and Theatre, Vicky co-founded a multi-sensory theatre company for children, where she designed immersive experiences to make learning playful and inclusive. This creative foundation fuels her unique approach to STEM education: she turns abstract concepts into engaging, relatable lessons (with a little theatrical flair!). She has worked at Brighton College; supporting students in their annual drama performances and exams.
Vicky combines her love of storytelling, design, and mentorship to make learning accessible, dynamic, and even fun! Her ultimate goal is to inspire the next generation; and prove that with the right guidance, anyone can thrive in STEM.
Qualifications
- KLC School of Design, Distinction, London
- Drama & Theatre BA (Hons), First Class Honours, University of Kent, UK
Lula | Study Buddy
Lula, our four-legged friend, is here to keep spirits high and stress levels low. While she might not be in every session, her surprise appearances, along with fun videos and photos bring a unique energy to learning. (Think momentum explained through her dropping a ball!)
Science shows that spending time with dogs reduces stress and improves focus, and Lula’s here to remind you that even the toughest challenges can be tackled.
Our Story
We met at the first University of Kent Rowing Club social of the year, where Henry had just started his PhD in Physics and Vicky was entering her second year of Drama and Theatre. Our shared passion for sport continues today; Vicky is a red belt in Karate who competes and wins gold in regional tournaments, while Henry has trained in gymnastics, swimming, boxing, and rugby. We also love trying to surf at the beach together!
Our Philosophy
We believe true confidence in STEM is built on a deep, fundamental understanding. Our approach returns to first principles, deconstructing complex topics to their core concepts to create a robust framework for advanced learning.
We offer this expert guidance online and in-person for students. To empower this journey, we have engineered a cutting-edge, all-in-one tutoring platform. This integrated system combines notes, video calls, messaging, and an interactive whiteboard into a single, collaborative environment designed to ignite a lifelong curiosity for learning in every student.
Why We Tutor: A Personal Mission
Our approach is born from personal experience. Our Designer & Teaching Assistant, Vicky, struggled with STEM in school, which eroded her confidence and led her to pursue the arts. A desire to conquer these challenges later brought her back, and she is now committed to empowering the next generation—especially young women—to embrace these subjects with confidence.
We operate as a duo to provide the expert guidance and supportive mentorship Vicky wished for. Henry, completing his PhD in Theoretical Physics, brings over fourteen years of tutoring experience and academic excellence. Together, we combine empathetic understanding with deep expertise to give students a clear path to confidence and achievement.
